Obituary for Ronald Charles Rutter

Ronald Charles Rutter, age 68 of Rockaway Beach entered into heaven's gates on Thursday, Oct. 20th at 5:30am. Ronald was born on January 23, 1948, in Roxbury, Queens, New York. He was known to all his family and friends as Ace. He was the 2nd child of Anne & Charles Rutter. Ronald enjoyed taking photos and was a talented mechanic who could fix anything. He was the knight in shining armor to help anyone in need, no matter what the time of day or night. He loved the challenge of fixing something that no one else could. Although he spent his entire life living at the beach, he never went swimming and hated sand and sun. Ronald was most proud of his four daughters, Rachael, Maureen, Barbara and Jackie and was completely thrilled with his three grandchildren, Julia, Morley and Collin. He was happy to welcome his sons-in-law Scott, Morley and Jim to the family and his most cherished times were with his family. Ronald is survived by his brothers Kenny (Terri), Jimmy (Rosie) and the late Larry Rutter and sister Claire Wayne. He also leaves behind his devoted wife of 38 years, Jeanne, who never left his side during his valiant two year struggle with pancreatic cancer. We are thankful that Ron trusted in Jesus and is now in the presence of the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to their home church, Bethel Baptist Fellowship, 1204 Avenue U, #1323, Brooklyn, NY 11229.
