Condolences

Condolence From: The Pagano Family
Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to the Burns family! There are so many wonderful stories of Msgr. Always had a smile on his face when he greeter you. One of ours is that every year our family would receive a Christmas card from Msgr., even though we moved from MQH over 30 years ago. We so looked forward to it. He will be remembered by our family with great respect and love. We are sure that God had a big smile for him and said "JOB WELL DONE MY SON!"

Condolence: To the family of Msgr. Burns our deepest sympathy. Msgr Burns was such a major part of our entire Carey Family when he resided in St. Sebastian’s Church. He will be sadly missed & too many wonderful memories to list. He married my husband & 34 years ago this September 8th. I just know my mom & dad, Anne & Vincent Carey were there to greet him in Heaven. He lived a long & blessed life & was truly loved by everyone in St Sebastian’s in Woodside, NY. He will be missed by my family very much. May he truly Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Karen Carey Byelick & J. Condolence From: Valerie May Cahill
Condolence: Our parish was so lucky to have you for so long! You are the kindest soul, I think I have ever met. I still remember the day that I found out that you were made Msgr! I ran out and bought you a bunch of balloons, I was so very happy for you. Thank you for all you have done for the parish, for my family and for me. Until we meet again... The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek." Psalm 110:4 Valerie May Cahill - MQH Class of 1987

Condolence: A great man, a great priest, a great pastor and a great friend. You will be missed by many, especially me and my family. We have been good friends since you became my pastor in 1974. You accomplished so much , renovation of the basement church by parish volunteers, getting our parish out of debt, organizing ski trips to Belvedere, NY, establishing a drama club, running the best bazaars and so much more. ( even though your bazaars did bring rain), you were a fixture in your green sweater and Red cowboy hat. Your leadership made MQH one of the best parishes in the Diocese. I will miss our “gottchas” that we enjoyed over the years. I will continue to tell people that I am the PRESIDENT of your fan club....that’s because I am the ONLY MEMBER! Rest In Peace, my friend.
