Grace was born March 27, 1921 and passed away at home on July 17, 2020. She was the last surviving child of Giuseppe and Caterina Ferrante of Palermo, Italy. Grace lived in Brooklyn, New York in the same neighborhood for most of her life.
She survived her husbands Vincent A. Fanuele whom she was married for 21 years who passed away in 1970 and her second husband Michael J. Lambiasi whom she married for 30 years who passed away in 2002.
She was the loving and dedicated mother of Vincent Fanuele and his wife Priscilla, Donna Belikiewicz and her husband Gary, Joseph Fanuele and step-son Michael Lambiasi.
She is Survived by her beautiful and loving grandchild Gabriella Fanuele, Alex Fanuele and his wife Jen and her first great-grandchild Anthony who was born in March.
Grace was Assistant to the Director of Downstate Medical Center from 1967-1988. She finally achieved at age 67 a life long dream, The Degree of Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude from The City University of New York. She was a member of the Saint Bernard Rosary Society and Chorus. She loved to sing every Sunday and Holidays and recorder a Christmas CD with them. She was an amazing force in all of our lives and will never be forgotten by her beloved nieces and nephews and many friends, We will miss her dearly. There will be a visitation at The John J McManus Funeral Home 4601 Avenue N Brooklyn, New York Tuesday July 21, 2020 at 9am and Mass to follow at 11am at St Bernards Church in Bergen Beach. Interment will follow at Holy cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to St Jude Hospital or The ASPCA.
