Obituary for Robert Stuchbury

STUCHBURY--Robert Terrence, Robert Terrence Stuchbury, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, born April 25, 1938, passed away on March 22, 2021, after courageously battling pneumonia brought on by COVID-19. The Brooklyn native was 82 years old, He worked as a New York City subway conductor for 33 years and knew the boroughs inside and out. The Veteran proudly served his county in the US Army. He was a die hard Brooklyn Dodger fan, boxing fan and an avid reader. "Pop" or "Bobby", as he was best known by most, was adored for his wit, compassion, selflessness and mentorship. The sharp dressing didn't hurt either. The respect and love for him by those fortunate enough to cross his path was never ending. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his daughter Deborah; his four grandchildren (John (Amelia), Joseph (Christine).William and Peter); three great grandchildren (Kevin, Ryan and Emma); as well as nieces and nephews.
