Ademar Jorge Pires, 57 Died on April 24, 2021 after battling complications due to Covid-19.
He was born in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde on September 11, 1963. The son of the late Luis and Camila Pires.
Ademar and his family immigrated to the US when he was a young child settling in Brooklyn, NY.
Eddy as known to his friends is survived by his first wife Arlinda Brito mother of his two children, Tatiana Pires of Rhode Island and the late Timothy Jordan Pires. He was the grandfather of Bryson Timothy Pires.
Besides his long-term girlfriend Rosa Nunez, he is survived by two brothers; Luis Pires, Gregorio Goncalves, three sisters: Alice Pires, Orieta Pires and Ana Medina of Cape Verde, his aunt Celest Ramirez, and many nieces and nephews
He will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, high spirited energy, for his love of music and being a DJ. Eddy will never be forgotten, always missed and forever part of us.
Relatives and Friends are invited to calling hours on Friday May 14, 2021, from 2pm to 8pm at the John J. McManus Funeral Home 4601 Avenue N Brooklyn, New York 11234. Followed by burial on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00am to his final resting place Evergreen Cemetery, 1629 Bushwick Avenue Brooklyn, New York
